Does anyone else’s Dad do this?? (Love you Dad x)

Hey, Tonight, as per, I’m writing at a really strange time. The last few nights have gone to plan in that I’ve actually started plodding upstairs to get ready for bed around 8. I know, this is megaaaa early! I think so too, but with my health meaning not getting 10 hours sleep minimum leaves me aching so bad, I know it’s deffo worth it! However, tonight is not that night my friends. It’s great that I’ve got to be up at 7 too (hear the sarcasm leaping off the page right now)  but y’know what, I’m going with the flowwwww :D. So I figured... blog. Call me irresponsible, but hey, Bublè already has you covered ;). In this  post I’m going to shout out to the absolute ledge that is my Daddio. We bicker, we take the mick, but most of the time we’re laughing (albeit mainly at each other) and hands down I wouldn’t change my Dad. I do love him lots (eugh, pass the bucket I would hear him retort). But this one is going to focus mainly on present buying when it comes to the man i...

Royal Blood are kings

Hey, I hope this post finds you really really good and all tucked up and cosy whilst the gail’s blow outside. I’m being a typical granny and am throughly enjoying my honey and lemon with three throws on top of me, tucked up as I write this. There’s something so nice about being warm when you can hear the breeze or the rain outside I think, it just reminds me how grateful I am to be in a comfy, warm place really. I’m feeling really rather sleepy/exhausted so don’t know why I think writing is once again a good idea, but alas I continue... As this blog is mainly now made up of music once again, turns out it’s turned into “Anthems of a bored 20yr old” (was there point in a name change after all?(; ), I will proceed to discuss more music I think. The Saturday just gone was absolutely incredible, because I saw a band and fell in love. Not particularly with the singer (although probably that too), but with a band I’d hardly listened to before and one after which seeing I can’t stop lis...

Reaction to the official BBC Children in Need single - "Fields of gold" Katie Melua

Hey, Hope you're okay on this cold November afternoon! I've just been in town and my hands are very much blue but all cosy now this a nice cup of tea so I'm warming my cockles. Literally don't know where that expression comes from.. Maybe it's Cornish? It always reminds me of that scene in stardust where Michelle Phieffer runs the bath for Clare Danes whilst plotting eternal youth and she uses this line... why cockles? Anyway, I wanted to write this post for a few days as I woke up to the great Chris Evans's voice blasting out at me on BBC Radio Two the other morning and Katie Melua was in the studio. On the show she performed this year's BBC Children in need single; her cover of 'Fields of gold' and it was so beautiful you could literally hear a pin drop and that was over the radio. Unfortunately I missed the first bit, but after briefly hearing that it was the official Children in Need song for 2017 and how good it is I listened to it again...
