Posts

Bye blogging - It’s been a pleasure.

Hey, G’morning, I hope you’re all really really well.:) This is maybe a random post, but one I feel ready for in the same kind of way you may feel ready to leave high school, it’s really right but still feels the end of an era all the same. That is, I know I want this post to officially be my last blogging post :’(. I’ve known I wanted to stop for a few weeks now as  it feels like my life is changing and moving. I don’t really know what to, you never really do do you? That’s why life is so exciting and unpredictable I guess, but I didn’t want to just not post anymore, out of respect for this marvellous hobby I’ve had for two and a half years I wanted to end with a proper post, as funny as that sounds.  It feels comical to say I have a real sadness about this being the last post- in that way when something has become a big part of your life and given you so much joy for a long time. But I don’t want to be keeping a blog, no matter how small the regular readership, i...

Lushest Sunday ever

Hey guys, how’s you doing? :)  Decided to blog today if for any other reason than just to keep the memory and to be honest what better reason than that? This Sunday has been the Sunday to top all sundays.  It began as all good Sunday’s should. That is, with a longgggg lie in, followed by Paolo Nuttini following me around the house (not literally, although how nice would that be?!) and after the dreamiest shower (I felt like Bryn in Gavin and Stacey going “Is that what you call a POWER-SHOWER?”) I was underway. After plenty of time to put loads of make up on to make my skin look somewhat more refreshed than it currently is (Winter = wanting to walk around with a lightbulb on my skin) I got ready to brace the cold only to find it is a bit milder today??? On route, nicking my Mum’s Urban Decay Naked palate that I brought her a few christmases back (that’s what Christmas is for ey? ;)). At this point I’m thinking “already winning” ;). No, what I mean to say is it was just t...

Does anyone else’s Dad do this?? (Love you Dad x)

Hey, Tonight, as per, I’m writing at a really strange time. The last few nights have gone to plan in that I’ve actually started plodding upstairs to get ready for bed around 8. I know, this is megaaaa early! I think so too, but with my health meaning not getting 10 hours sleep minimum leaves me aching so bad, I know it’s deffo worth it! However, tonight is not that night my friends. It’s great that I’ve got to be up at 7 too (hear the sarcasm leaping off the page right now)  but y’know what, I’m going with the flowwwww :D. So I figured... blog. Call me irresponsible, but hey, Bublè already has you covered ;). In this  post I’m going to shout out to the absolute ledge that is my Daddio. We bicker, we take the mick, but most of the time we’re laughing (albeit mainly at each other) and hands down I wouldn’t change my Dad. I do love him lots (eugh, pass the bucket I would hear him retort). But this one is going to focus mainly on present buying when it comes to the man i...

Royal Blood are kings

Hey, I hope this post finds you really really good and all tucked up and cosy whilst the gail’s blow outside. I’m being a typical granny and am throughly enjoying my honey and lemon with three throws on top of me, tucked up as I write this. There’s something so nice about being warm when you can hear the breeze or the rain outside I think, it just reminds me how grateful I am to be in a comfy, warm place really. I’m feeling really rather sleepy/exhausted so don’t know why I think writing is once again a good idea, but alas I continue... As this blog is mainly now made up of music once again, turns out it’s turned into “Anthems of a bored 20yr old” (was there point in a name change after all?(; ), I will proceed to discuss more music I think. The Saturday just gone was absolutely incredible, because I saw a band and fell in love. Not particularly with the singer (although probably that too), but with a band I’d hardly listened to before and one after which seeing I can’t stop lis...

Reaction to the official BBC Children in Need single - "Fields of gold" Katie Melua

Image
Hey, Hope you're okay on this cold November afternoon! I've just been in town and my hands are very much blue but all cosy now this a nice cup of tea so I'm warming my cockles. Literally don't know where that expression comes from.. Maybe it's Cornish? It always reminds me of that scene in stardust where Michelle Phieffer runs the bath for Clare Danes whilst plotting eternal youth and she uses this line... why cockles? Anyway, I wanted to write this post for a few days as I woke up to the great Chris Evans's voice blasting out at me on BBC Radio Two the other morning and Katie Melua was in the studio. On the show she performed this year's BBC Children in need single; her cover of 'Fields of gold' and it was so beautiful you could literally hear a pin drop and that was over the radio. Unfortunately I missed the first bit, but after briefly hearing that it was the official Children in Need song for 2017 and how good it is I listened to it again...

Appreciation of (in my humble opinion) one of the best female artists there is - P!nk.

Hey, How are you all doing? I hope this post finds you really well, as always. I was sitting in the car today, after attempting to go to college and then finding it's an admin day (I'd been poorly for a bit and hadn't realised) and realised how much I miss blogging and mentally made a note to write a post, so here I am. I'm currently trying to get through some of my coursework project, with everything strewn all over my bed (I genuinely need to see everything at all times evidently to understand everything?) and it got to that point where my brain was like "Right, you've been working for a bit, you're getting bored, have a break". I found myself putting on P!nk's "What about us" and literally listened to it three times back-to-back. I've mentioned this phenomenon before, if I really love a song, especially when I first hear it, that week I'll just play it on repeat. Some of you may be thinking that's a little too fa...

Octoberinal vibes? Ft a wonderful song by Lifehouse

Morning! How're you all doing?! I'm gonna' be real I've just woken up, hardly had a late one last night (unless you count watching 'Cold Feet' on catch up with your Mum - omg what's Dadam playing at by the way??) but I think everyone feels sleepier when it starts going dark at 25 to 7 (I know, don't cry). September seems to have completely flown by, for me anyway, and I couldn't really say what I've done in that time! A levels and looking at uni courses mainly, but also seeing friends settle well to Uni life as well has been really lovely. I wanted to do a post mainly to highlight a band I've been listening to technically for years, without knowing who they are. I'm a huge fan of the sitcom Gavin and Stacey and if you've watched it this song plays in the first episode, when Gavin suprised Stacey meeting her off her bus in Barry. It's the song that plays through the credits and I love it so much that I had to look it up. Th...
